Ann Curry

Ann Curry was born in America and is an American photographer and journalist. Over the past forty-five years she has focused on documenting human suffering, especially when natural catastrophes or war are occurring. Curry was a journalist in war zones like Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry, (born November 19 1956 Agana American journalist, television anchor and news reporter who was most well-known for her job as a correspondent on the Today show a morning news program aired on the National Broadcasting Co. (NBC). Curry was known especially for her work in reporting on natural catastrophes and war devastated countries. Curry was born in Japan and was educated by a Japanese mother. Her father was an U.S. Navy sailor. Her father dated her mother in Japan when he was a stationed there after World War II. Due to her father's military service, her family has moved quite a bit. They finally moved to Ashland Oregon where Curry attended high school. Following her graduation from the University of Oregon, Curry earned a bachelor of journalism degree in the year 1978. She is likely to have developed an empathetic way of communicating due to her exposure to diverse cultures in her early years. Curry was not able to be a student at a particular school in Alameda, San Diego Oregon, or Virginia for two years because her family was constantly moving. Ashland is where she finally completed the high school. Her first job would lead to a lucrative career as an intern in broadcasting for KTVL Channel 10 Medford. The first female news correspondent at this station, at age 22. In the following years, she worked as an anchor/reporter for KGW located in Portland Oregon. The following year, she relocated into Los Angeles as a reporter for the KCBS-TV. During her six-year relationship with KCBS She was honored with 2 Emmy Awards.
